SAFCOL's Timbadola Sawmill processes SA Pine into structural and non-structural sawn timber for the South African construction and joinery markets. All sales are concluded on an ex-mill basis.
Lumber Grades
All SAFCOL lumber is graded to SANS specifications. Structural and non-structural ranges are available.
S5P and S7P
Structural grades S5P and S7P for use in trusses, framing and engineered structural applications. Produced and tested under SANS 1783-2.
- S5P - general structural framing
- S7P - higher load-bearing structural use
CL / SE / DL / CR
Joinery, packaging and industrial grades for non-structural applications.
- CL - clear, knot-free joinery
- SE - selected joinery
- DL - dressed lumber
- CR - crating and packaging
Standard Dimensions
Sawn timber is produced in standard cross-sections from 38 x 38 mm up to 50 x 228 mm in lengths from 1.8 m to 6.6 m. Custom orders are accommodated subject to volume and lead time.
All lumber is kiln-dried to a moisture content of less than 18%, planed-all-round (PAR) or rough-sawn as required.

How are sales conducted?
All sales are concluded on an ex-mill basis from the Timbadola Sawmill in Limpopo. Customers arrange their own transport from the mill.

Yes - graded samples can be arranged on request through the Sales Manager.

Standard SAFCOL credit terms apply subject to credit application and approval.
Is FSC chain-of-custody maintained?
Yes - the Timbadola Sawmill is FSC chain-of-custody certified, allowing buyers to claim FSC origin on processed lumber.
